This compulsory house arrest has some advantages. I was going to throw it away but then I saw how much a new one cost. I broke the back of my XL by stalling while landing too slowly. Enyas are lovely engines but I think other makes provide more power these days. It was good fun but hardly a ball of fire. When starting the engine, keep spectators at least 20 feet clear of the model and out of the path. Recheck the tightness of the nut or bolt often, especially on wood props which tend to compress and loosen more often. I had an Enya 120 FS in mine.The cooking version not the R. Install the prop with the curved side of the blade facing forward and tighten the prop nut or bolt with the proper size wrench. I don't want to do any fancy aerobatics just general club flying. SO has anybody put this engine in a model of that weight?, if so what prop and was the performance OK or very poor. BUT all the info on the net say on a 90 4 stroke the performance would not be very good?. The model weighs about 4.5 Kg fully loaded so it should be OK, according to Enya. I'd like to maiden this heli soon but want to make sure it's going to fly properly with the rotor head setup like it is.I have been given a WOT 4 XL and intend putting my 90 4C in it as the manual for the engine says for model weight of 3.5 - 6.5 Kg. The regular Z, ZX, and ZXX rotorheads have ball links on each end of the link, but what I have has one ball link and a clevis type connection at the mixer arm. Is this the way it came from the factory or am I just missing something? Use the RCS14x.75/90 Adapter with stock muffler. the manual says to set the washout guide 90º to the mast hole (jesus bolt?) but I cannot make this guide be 90º and still connect the links.
The problem I'm having is that the rotor head I have is different than what is in the manual. There is no argument about which is the most famous 35 that title, of course, belongs to the venerable FOX 35, which has been manufactured now for something like 5 decades with little change. A lot of what I have is similar to what is in the manual but I'm stumped with the rotor head setup. The ENYA 29 (and 35) IIn the world of model aeroplane engines, the 29 and 35 size has long been a favourite, particularly for flyers of control line models. It did not come with a manual, so I downloaded the manual for the Z, ZX, and ZXX online. It has an Enya 35SS engine in it, with belt start. I guess it was an ARF kit, and it had never been built. I'm hoping a Hirobo expert can help me with a Shuttle ZX-A I recently purchased on Ebay.
